A renal ultrasound is a diagnostic test that uses 

high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the kidneys. 

The kidneys are a pair of bean-shaped organs that are located in the back of the abdomen. 

They filter waste products from the blood and produce urine.  

The renal ultrasound is used to evaluate the size, shape, and location of the kidneys.  

It can also help to determine if there are any abnormalities present, such as cysts or tumors. 

The test is generally performed by a radiologist,
